DFS and Duresta throw weight behind revamped WCFM Retail Training Course
8th July 2009 | training | Two of the largest firms in the UK furniture industry are to host the relaunched Retail Training Course, organised by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
Retailer DFS and sofa manufacturer Duresta join industry body FIRA and buying group AIS as co-hosts of the programme.
For the first time, the four-day course will not take place on consecutive days and each day can be booked individually. The courses will be led by well-known industry trainer Mike Dudley-Jones. Directors from each of the host companies will also speak on the principles behind their own businesses.
The four days are as follows:
Course 1: How to increase sales (DFS, Doncaster, 10th September 2009)
Course 2: Understanding Customer Service (FIRA, Stevenage, 19th November 2009)
Course 3: Presenting and Coaching Skills (AIS, Solihull, 18th March 2010)
Course 4: Understanding Furniture Manufacturing (Duresta, Long Eaton, 20th May 2010)
