Emerging sofa chain CSL says it has taken market share from rivals over the winter season and hailed its expansion into southern England a success.

 

The privately owned retailer said initiatives such as its 72-hour speedy delivery range had contributed to like for like sales climbing 3.3 per cent in the four weeks to Boxing Day.

The Grafton Street plant, which was home to the heritage cabinet furniture business for over 100 years, has been unoccupied since the owners of the company opted to cease manufacturing in 2005.
