Bed manufacturer ups production

Lancashire bed manufacturer Sweet Dreams is to take on more workers at its Burnley factory after a growth in orders in the early part of 2010.

Managing director Riaz Ahmed said the increase in production was a direct result of new lines launched at Interiors in Birmingham last month.

In the year to March 2009, the company increased pre-tax profits by 12% to £0.82m on sales of £14.24m.
