More people turn to instore credit to fund furniture purchases
28th May 2009 | credit | The number of consumers buying furniture through instore credit has risen again. In March, shoppers spent £230m through credit deals such as interest free and buy now pay later, an increase of 9% year on year.
This is a £24m rise on February, which saw £206m worth on instore credit sales, which was an 8% year on year climb. The Finance and Leasing Association, which produces the figures, says the lack of other sources of credit have prompted the increases.
