Two store independent to launch £1.5m stock clearout

4th June 2009 | independents | Bath and Cirencester retailer Silcox & Wicks will launch its biggest ever stock clearance sale this weekend. The furniture independent hopes to clear £1.5m worth of inventory, with some products discounted by more than 90%.

Local press reports in Bath say it will have £1299 sofas on sale for £99 and memory foam mattresses reduced to £99 from £998. The firm is well known for attracting large queues in advance of Summer and Winter sales and will employ security guards on the night preceding the sale launch.

The firm will be introducing a number of new lines when the sale is over.
