SCS BACK ON STORE OPENING TRAIL
1st October | upholstery | Sofa chain ScS is to open its second store in as many weeks as it returns to television screens tomorrow. The new Cardiff store follows its opening in Nottingham a fortnight ago as the retailer bids to get back on the expansion trail.
The two new stores are the first since the firm was rescued by private equity backer Sun European Partners. They will bring the total number of ScS stores to 97, and follows a better than expected trading performance in August and September, according to chief executive David Knight.
The firm’s new television advertising campaign, the first in the post Martin Kemp era, kicks off tomorrow with the focus on the company’s Autumn ranges.
