Pro-British Ask If It Is campaign pays off for London retailer
8th March 2010
Independent retailer Quilters of Ruislip says sales of furniture affiliated to the pro-British Ask If It Is campaign have outperformed the rest of its product offer in the past four months.
While total sales for the retailer dropped year on year from £552,738 to £537,021 in the four months to February, revenue from It Is suppliers such as Alstons climbed 54%, to £179,325.
The London retailer joined forces with the British Furniture Manufacturer's association at the end of last October to kick-start a campaign promoting British made product, earning itself the title of the first 'Great British Furniture Store' in the process.
