26.08.2010

Pepper Kitchens, a fitted furniture company based in St Ives, is in administration, with Ian Carr and David Dunckley from the Cambridge office of professional services firm Grant Thornton appointed to run the business.

Pepper, which supplies bedrooms, kitchens and other cabinetry to the developer and builder market, saw revenues fall sharply between 2007 and 2008, the time of its latest filed results.

In 2007 it made £0.769m profit before tax from sales of £9.106m, but the following year registered a £0.736m loss as turnover dropped to £5.445m. Sales back in 2005 were worth £11.459m.
