Natuzzi ceo Aldo Uva resigns; Pasquale Natuzzi to take over again

Pasquale Natuzzi20th March | upholstery | Aldo Uva has resigned as Natuzzi chief executive and will be replaced by the firm’s founder Pasquale Natuzzi. It is the second time that a chief executive has lasted less than a year at the helm of the Italian furniture giant.

Mr Natuzzi (pictured) had earlier stepped back into the chief executive role when Ernesto Greco resigned soon after taking up the post in 2007. Uva was then appointed in the summer of 2008.

Aside from Mr Natuzzi, Greco and Uva are the only two men to have headed up the company since it was founded in 1959. In a statement, Uva was said to be leaving for ‘exclusively personal’ reasons. When Greco left in 2007, the reasons cited were a combination of ‘personal and professional.’
