Sales flat at bespoke furniture supplier Neville Johnson
10th July 2009 | vertical | Fitted furniture specialist Neville Johnson has seen sales fall 2.5% to £16.5m in the year to April 2009 – ending a cycle of peaks and troughs for the firm.
The company, which designs, manufactures and retails fitted cabinet furniture for all rooms in the home, grew sales from £11.9m in 2003 to £17.2m in 2006, before they fell away again the following year to £13.8m. In the year to April 2008, turnover was £16.9m.
The firm is expected to open a further showroom, in London, this year, but widespread national newspaper advertising – encouraging consumers to book designer visits to their homes – remains one of its principal routes to market.
