MDF Design in administration

Made to measure furniture supplier MDF Design has appointed the Manchester office of corporate recovery firm Begbies Traynor as administrator.

A note on the company's website, together with that of sister firm Carcass Design, a fitted furniture company, says the firms are no longer trading.

The Manchester firm produced vinyl wrapped MDF doors for use in bedrooms, kitchens and home offices. Its last publicly available profit and loss accounts, in 2007, showed a £78k loss from sales of £3.6m.
