Launched in early 2008, LYCHEE furniture is the brain-child of David Applebaum, the founder of Greenapple and the man responsible for growing the contemporary glass furniture and lighting market in the UK exponentially over the last 10 years.

LYCHEE was conceived to concentrate on combining aspects of glass with an eclectic mix of other materials, providing mainstream retail with affordable, design-led furniture that is priced to create volume sales – a tantalising prospect in the current climate.

The LYCHEE collection has had a number of additions since its launch and now boasts 12 ranges which offer console, coffee and lamp table options plus a range of beautifully formed mirrors.

The Greenapple name has become synonymous with quality and style and everything about LYCHEE will be intrinsically linked to its parent brand. Speaking about his new brand, David Applebaum said: “LYCHEE is a fabulous milestone in the journey I embarked on 10 years ago. It’s an exciting brand extension to Greenapple, born from the same design team that has made Greenapple such a success and is manufactured to the same high levels of quality control.

Whilst Greenapple is known for exquisite glass and priced at the mid to upper end of the market, LYCHEE enables us to have fun with other materials and is priced to appeal to the mainstream. Both consumers and retailers alike can take confidence in this new brand coming from a stable where design excellence, attention to detail and customer care are proven.”

LYCHEE is already being stocked by approximately 150 UK retailers and is in the process of being distributed to Dutch, Belgian and Norwegian retail markets.
