London Furniture Show postponed; Too few exhibitors signed up

2nd March 2010

The md of Insight Exhibitions has confirmed the postponement of the inaugural London Furniture Show for a second year.

Originally slated for a Spring 2009 launch, it was later rescheduled to take place at ExCel from 25-27th May this year.

However, David Wilkins, Insight md, told the Furnishing Report that with less than three months to go and not enough companies signed up to exhibit, they had to make the decision to postpone the event once more as there was little time left to promote the event to visitors.

It had hoped to attract about 80 exhibitors, showcasing a mix of medium to high end furniture and furnishing accessories.

Insight will issue a statement in the coming days.
