Midlands retailer Lee Longlands in £5m warehouse clearance
3rd March 2010
Independent furniture retailer Lee Longlands has written to customers inviting them to gain first access to a £5m stock clearance from a number of its core stores where it will sell leather upholstery from £49 and divan beds as cheap as £34.
The £16m+ retailer, which also operates dedicated clearance outlets, will host invitation only events tomorrow and Friday at stores in Birmingham and Leamington Spa, which it will replicate a week later in Abingdon.
Promotional offers have played an integral role in the firm's recent strategy. It has clearance stores in Milton Keynes, Merry Hill, Solihull, Swindon, Banbury and Nottingham, although the Milton Keynes and Swindon operations are both closing down.
Its new Nottingham store, which occupies a former Land of Leather unit on the Castle Marina Retail Park, and its recently opened core offer store in Derby's Westfield Shopping Centre, are thought to mark its first steps into the East Midlands.
