John Lewis Home sales climb 13.2%
9th January | retail | Department store retailer John Lewis saw a 13.2% in Home sales in the week ended 3rd January compared to the same period last year.
The rise, though not as marked as its fashion (34.4%) and home technology (39.7%) categories, showed consumers are still prepared to spend on big ticket goods.
The total 27% year on year sales climb represented the chain’s fourth best ever week.
In the 23 weeks to 3rd January, however, Home sales at John Lewis are still 10.7% behind the comparable period last year.
