Irish post code system could boost online sales
5th October 2009 | online | Retailers selling furniture online to customers in the Republic of Ireland will find it far easier in future, if a renewed attempt to introduce a post code system proves successful.
At present, the lack of post codes adds complexity to the home delivery process, and has discouraged some retailers from delivering there. The Irish Government wants to introduce the codes in 2011, although it stressed a desire to introduce a system using digits and letters as far back as 2005.
