UK’s largest interiors trade show sees visitor/exhibitor numbers drop

 

30th June 2009 | exhibitions | Interiors Birmingham featured 34% fewer exhibitors in 2009 compared to the previous year. The show’s recently posted ABC audit shows stand numbers dropped from 1,008 in 2008 to 665 in 2009.

 

There were 7,501 fewer visitors with 26,456 people attending the 2009 exhibition. Occupied stand space dropped from 76,711sqm in 2008 to 59,320sqm this January.

 

Interiors Birmingham 2010 takes place from 24-27th January at the NEC in Birmingham. With six months to go till the doors open, 325 firms have signed up to exhibit - covering more than 40,000sqm of floor space.

 

The 2010 edition will feature the second phase of organiser UBM Live's re-categorisation programme. High end traditional products will occupy Hall 1, high end modern Hall 2, while Hall 3 will focus on lighting, furnishing accessories, and soft furnishings.

 

Hall 4 will house occasional furniture and dining, while beds, bedroom furniture, upholstery and cabinet firms will exhibit from Hall 5.
