Home sales flat for Marks & Spencer 

 

1st July 2009 | retail | Marks & Spencer's furniture and housewares sales rose 0.1% in the 13 weeks to 27th June. Overall UK sales for the variety retailer climbed 1.7%.

 

Like for like sales were down 1.4% with general merchandise 2.4% lower and food stable at -0.5%.

 

In a statement Marks & Spencer said it believed its furniture and homeware category was outperforming the market.
