Yorkshire bed manufacturer enjoys '09 sales and profits growth
23rd December 2009 | beds | Dewsbury based manufacturer Highgate Beds has lodged its highest profits since 2006, with its operating return climbing 300% in the year to 31st August.
It registered operating earnings of £0.36m on sales of £9.85m - which also represented a climb on the prior year, albeit by a more modest 0.75%.
Highgate Beds' best operating return for the past half decade was achieved three years ago, when it made £0.43m from £9m, although this was followed by a £0.7m loss in 2007.
Net assets for the year to August 2009 rose almost £0.3m to £1.65m.
Beside Highgate Beds, the company's brands include Sleeping Comfort, Healthopedic, and the kids' beds oriented SleepWise collection.
