Habitat plans Autumn web launch with furniture on sale from September

Habitat6th July 2009 | online | Furniture retailer Habitat is to launch its first transactional website this Autumn. Furniture will go on sale from September, with other goods, such as home accessories, planned to be available by Christmas.

The 36-store retailer has engaged web specialists eCommera and BT Fresca to provide the infrastructure for its relaunch. It is thought the firm will make product information and extensive visuals the core focus of the revamp, believing inadequate product information for the consumer is the biggest barrier to customer purchases.
