New chief executive for Habitat

13th January | management | Habitat has appointed Mark Saunders as group chief executive. He was previously vice president for Europe at clothing firm Levi Strauss.

Saunders replaces Jens Nordahl, who left last Summer at the same time as UK country manager Ruth Dangerfield.

Her departure coincided with a store rationalising programme, which saw the closure of the firm’s Hammersmith, Kensington High Street and Bromley stores, as well as a new store opening in London’s Westfield Shopping Centre.
