G-Plan to roll out Ultimate Retail Experience
8th February 2010
Sofa manufacturer G-Plan is to extend its new point of sale retail package after a successful trial at Park Furnishers in Bristol.
The format, dubbed the Ultimate Retail Experience, was designed by Market Creative, a consultancy, and aims to encourage consumers to interact with its furniture in-store using devices such as a 'sit test' with the overarching target of making shoppers spend more time looking at G-Plan sofas.
G-Plan is among the most profitable furniture manufacturers in the UK. Latest filed accounts for the Sofa Brands International owned supplier showed a £3.25m operating profit on £24.8m sales.
