Frank's Flooring plans to grow store network beyond 30 within next year

One of the largest privately owned flooring retailers in the UK plans to open a further 10 stores over the next year to take its total to 35.

Frank's The Flooring Store currently has more than 20 stores across the north east of England, and this week announced the store growth plan as well as a £1m investment in a new distribution centre.

The DC and stores will employ a further 60 staff on top of its existing 150 strong workforce.

The family run carpets business started television advertising for the first time last year and has grown its balance sheet value from just £1.6m in 2005 to almost £12m at the time of its latest filed accounts (03/2009).
