B&Q stakes claim to MFI market as sales rise
2nd June 2009 | retail | DIY chain B&Q says the collapse of competitors such as MFI is boosting its bedroom and kitchen furniture sales.
It recorded a marginal sales uplift in these categories as overall sales jumped 3.2% on a like for like basis in the three months to 2nd May. Parent company Kingfisher returned a £128m profit – up 38.5% on the same period last year.
