Cussins' Sofa Workshop link grows stronger

28th January | upholstery | The future of failed retail chain Sofa Workshop could become clearer within the next 24 hours with the firm’s founder Andrew Cussins thought to be close to a deal that would see him regain control of at least part of the business he sold to MFI back in 2002.

It is believed he is interested in the retailer’s London stores and up to half a dozen others. Andrew Cussins was widely reported to have tried unsuccessfully to buy the retail chain three years ago when MFI sold it on to New Heights. Both MFI and New Heights have subsequently collapsed.
