Top retail buyer joins Willis & Gambier to head up sourcing and product development
5th November 2009 | supply | Former Courts, Furniture Village and Furnitureland buyer Julian Cox has been installed as product development and sourcing manager at furniture supply group Willis & Gambier.
His brief is to co-ordinate product lines across the company's portfolio, which now includes both upholstery and cabinet. Mark Symes, Willis & Gambier md, says Cox will 'bring commercial justification and close scrutiny of price points' to the company, and he will liaise with sales leaders across the various W&G divisions.
The appointment comes as W&G prepares to makes its largest ever investment in trade exhibitions - with a 1,000sq m presence at January's Interiors show at the NEC. Its premium Willis & Gambier lines will show in Hall 1 together with its recently acquired Joynson Holland ranges, while two further stands in Hall 5 will show its Originals and Universal brands.
