UPHOLSTERY
South Wales sofa manufacturer maintains sales at £10m
27th January 2010
Aberdare based sofa manufacturer Ashwood Designs grew sales marginally during the toughest months of the recession.
The mid-Glamorgan firm posted revenues of £10.4m in the year to 30th April, a slim £20k rise on 2008, albeit its latest financial trading period was slightly longer than the one preceding it, making direct comparison difficult.
Ashwood, which employs close to 100 staff, saw operating profits fall from £233,399 to £171,320.
