Airsprung buys mattress manufacturer Hush-A-Bye for £300k

24th April | acquisition | The Airsprung Furniture Group has acquired mattress manufacturer and supplier Hush-A-Bye for £300,000. It will pay £30,000 upfront with the remainder deferred for the firm which made an £84,000 operating profit in the year to 30th September 2008.

Hush-A-Bye director Peter Ball will stay with the firm on a consultancy basis. An Airsprung statement said the acquisition would provide a complementary distribution network that would enhance its access to its markets.
