MORE SIGNS OF CHINESE DECLINE AS EXHIBITION ATTENDANCE DROPS 15%

13th November | exhibitions | The evidence that Chinese furniture exports are suffering is mounting after show organisers revealed a 15% slump in foreign buyers at one of the country’s top furniture fairs.

The 3F International Famous Furniture Fair in Dongguan attracted 7,000 overseas visitors out of a total of 50,000 attendees. A shade over 20% were from Europe, with the bulk of the foreign buyer delegation being from nearby Asian countries.

The biannual fair will next take place in March - smack bang in the middle of the most important period for Asian manufacturers when exhibitions in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia will also be held.
